The Power of Story

We all have our stories, but do we ever really take the time to really think the one we are telling, or the one we want to tell? The fact is, we will tell a story at the end of 2022 about how our year went. We will tell our story at the end of the next decade and what will we say? How about the story we will one day want to tell our grandchildren? Story is the most important and powerful part of the human experience. All of history is passed down from generation to generation through story.

The stories we tell literally make the world. If you want to change the world, you need to change your story. This truth applies both to individuals and institutions.

Every patient has a story.

It was our standard in our very busy chiropractic practice that is was not enough to only know the patient’s name (which was a big deal when you have hundreds of people every day), but we each had to know their story. That’s a high standard and it made all the difference in the world.

Every. Story. Matters.

The story you tell matters. It is not just a recap of your history, it’s a predictor of your destiny - it determines where you are going to go from here. The same is true for every patient, young and old, in your practice. It was our standard in our very busy chiropractic practice that is was not enough to only know the patient’s name (which was a big deal when you have hundreds of people every day), but we each had to know their story. That’s a high standard and it made all the difference in the world. Every. Story. Matters.

And you are an important part of the story of every patient in your practice.

Imagine what would happen if you focused and prioritized your practice strategy for attraction, conversion and retention centered around capturing and leveraging each practice members story.

What if you really dug deep as a practice into the stories of all your patients.

What could happen? What would happen?

You are an important part of the story of every patient in your practice.

What is the New Story you are going to tell in 2022? When you look back at the end of 2022, what’s the story you want to tell?

Write it down if you have not already!

What specifically is going to be different, and better?

How are you going to show up different? Tell me the story about you’re A-team: who is going to be in there at the end of 2022? What about your attraction story: how many new patients are you going to attract, how and from where? How are conversions and retention going to grow and improve in 2022? What about your 2022 collections?

This new year let the transformative power of story transform your life and practice!
